As part of the implementation of the INDH (National Initiative for Human Development) programme in Khemisset, a partnership agreement signing ceremony was held recently in the presence of the provincial governor, Hassan Fatih, as president of the provincial human development committee. The signing took place between provincial authorities and project leaders, in the presence of commune presidents, representatives of associations, and cooperative leaders.
Under these agreements, the signatory parties commit to boosting and mobilising appropriate material, logistical, and human resources by creating suitable spaces and establishing the necessary infrastructure to raise the standard of living for the targeted social groups. The total amount for the completion of these projects amounts to 13.34 million DH. The Provincial Committee for Human Development has scheduled 37 projects as part of the cross-cutting programme, with a budget of 6.47 million DH.
In the context of the fight against precariousness, the Committee has also scheduled 4 projects and mobilised a budget of 4.1 million DH for this purpose. It should be noted that this programme aims in particular to revitalise the process of family reintegration and socio-economic reinsertion of the targeted individuals, as well as to improve the quality of services offered by associations and public institutions managing social reception centres, in order to reach standards that guarantee conditions of human dignity. Furthermore, as part of the urban programme, it should also be noted that the Provincial Committee has scheduled around ten projects with an investment of 3.75 million DH, aimed at fighting social exclusion.
In the same vein, the province of Khemisset has seen the completion of 470 projects since the launch of the National Initiative for Human Development in 2005, for a total cost of 140 million DH.
The INDH's contribution to these projects reached 115.2 million DH, while that of the partners is estimated at approximately 24.8 million DH. Some 127 projects were completed during the same period as part of the urban programme aimed at fighting social exclusion, with a budget of 36.5 million DH. These projects benefit no fewer than 10,000 people.
It should also be noted, in this context, that the Provincial Committee for Human Development had scheduled several projects last year, namely a programme to fight social marginalisation in urban areas and a programme to fight poverty in rural areas. Finally, it should be specified that the provincial governor recently held several meetings during which he raised awareness among all provincial stakeholders of the need to make this national dynamic a success in accordance with the High instructions of H.M. King Mohammed VI and in respect of the spirit of the priorities set by the Sovereign. It is, indeed, a permanent battle for human dignity and for social and societal development.
