This factory, which is scheduled to be commissioned next year, will be located in the Atlantic Free Zone of Kenitra, an ideal location for efficient and customer-oriented production. The company is building a facility of approximately 17,000 square meters (m2) on a plot of about 50,000 m2, benefiting from direct access to the motorway and good connections to the port of Tangier.

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Mezzour said: "We welcome Benteler's choice to establish its new factory in Morocco. This project consolidates the momentum of our automotive ecosystem, endowed with a qualified workforce and a competitive industrial offer".

The project, the minister continued, confirms Morocco's rise as a major industrial and technological platform as well as its attractiveness to the biggest names in the global industry.

"We are looking forward to opening our new factory in Kenitra and thus further strengthening our global presence. Morocco offers us real advantages: it is a modern country with a strong automotive industry. Its geographical location and infrastructure also allow us to optimize logistics," said Mr. Siemer, for his part.

Furthermore, he maintained, Morocco has a significant share of renewable energies, which perfectly matches the group's ambitions in terms of sustainable development.

And he added: "In line with our 'local-for-local' approach, we will produce as close as possible to our customers to ensure flexible and reliable deliveries".

After the start of production, Benteler plans to create approximately 400 new jobs at the Kenitra site, offering promising career prospects to motivated individuals.

In order to ensure that every employee is perfectly prepared to contribute to the company's success, Benteler offers comprehensive training programs as well as continuous development opportunities.

At this new site, the group will produce front and rear bumpers, torsion beam rear axles, bumper cross-members, and suspension arms for a major automotive equipment manufacturer.

The factory will be equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a 3,200-tonne cold stamping press, several welding systems, a cataphoresis (CDP) line, and a 3D laser for component manufacturing.

To accelerate its digital transformation and strengthen its competitiveness, Benteler will also integrate advanced Industry 4.0 technologies developed as part of its "SMART FACTORIES" initiative.

This includes Big Data analytics, the company's Smart Production Data platform, as well as various connectivity solutions for intelligent, data-driven operations.

Benteler is a global group of companies serving customers in the fields of automotive technology, the energy sector, and mechanical engineering. As a global specialist in metal processing, it develops, produces, and distributes safety-related products, systems, and services all over the world.
