The Ifrane Model Forest Association in partnership with the Royal Institute of Amazigh Culture organised an Amazigh poetry competition on Saturday 6 August in the heart of the cedar forest of the Ifrane National Park.
More than twenty Amazigh poets coming from the different urban and rural communes of the province of Ifrane participated in this first competition organised at the Michlifen ski and mountain resort and during which they gave free rein to their poetic creation to sing the beauty of the Moroccan forest and mountain while calling for their preservation and protection from deterioration under the theme: "Forest protection: culture and behaviour".
The three best poems selected by the jury composed of Amazigh poets known and recognised at the regional and national level and teacher-researchers were awarded by the organisers during an artistic evening.
After deliberation by the jury composed of poets Driss Asseradi from Imouzzer Al Kandar, Ahmed Boukili Allaoui from El Hajeb, Mohammed Ibrahimi known by the name of Oussidi and Professor Driss Ouadou president of the Provincial Association of Amazigh Teachers of Ifrane, a large prize and trophy-giving ceremony was organised after the breaking of the fast and this, under the stars under the majestic cedars of Michlifen and the songs and dance of Ahidouss, without forgetting the poetic reading of different poets who were at the party including the poet and comedian, member of the jury Ahmed El Boukili Allaoui.
