Fquih Ben Salah brings the administration closer to Moroccans living abroad

A representation of the Italian Consulate dedicated to Moroccan immigrants in the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region was opened on Friday in the city of Fkih Ben Saleh, with the aim of bringing the administration closer to Moroccan citizens residing in Italy.

The inauguration of this representation took place in the presence of, among others, the Minister Delegate to the Minister of the Interior Charki Draiss, the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Executive Training Lahcen Daoudi, and the Italian Ambassador to Morocco Roberto Natali.

This representation aims to bring the administration closer to Moroccans established in Italy, particularly those from the Béni Mellal-Khénifra region (passports and passport renewals, civil registry registration for Moroccans of Italian nationality, documents relating to residence in Italy, etc.).

Speaking on this occasion, the president of the urban commune of Fkih Ben Saleh, Mohamed Moubdii, stressed that the creation of this consular representation aims to strengthen relations between Morocco and Italy, a country open to the citizens of this region, to facilitate administrative procedures and to bring Italian consular services closer to Moroccans residing abroad.

This initiative will help consolidate openness towards immigrant citizens of the region and strengthen Moroccan-Italian relations in the field of investment and economic exchange, he maintained.

For his part, the Italian ambassador highlighted the role of these representations in bringing consular services closer to Moroccans residing in Italy and simplifying procedures.

The governor of the province of Fkih Ben Saleh, Nourredine Ouabou, stressed that this representation will make it possible to bring consular services closer to the applicants, who were forced in the past to travel to Casablanca.

In a statement to the MAP, Lahcen Daoudi noted that Moroccan-Italian relations are consolidating year by year at both central and regional levels, adding that Italian officials attach particular interest to this region given the great economic potential it holds.
