Some 167 people from the city of Es-Smara benefited from an awareness campaign for early detection and prevention of diabetes at the initiative of the Association "Life for solidarity and the fight against diabetes". This one-week campaign, organised in coordination with the provincial delegation of the Ministry of Health, was placed under the banner "Early detection of diabetes: awareness, prevention, treatment". 15 cases of diabetes were detected in the region during this campaign, organised on the occasion of the celebration of World Diabetes Day in partnership with the Moroccan Red Crescent office of Es-Smara, the Cheikh Sidi Ahmed Rguibi Association for charitable and social works, indicated the president of the association, Larbi Raï, in a statement to MAP.
