Errachidia – The fifth edition of the Regional Competition for the memorisation and chanting of the Holy Quran concluded on Wednesday evening in Errachidia with a prize-giving ceremony for the winners of this competition.
Initiated by the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Drâa-Tafilalet in coordination with the Regional Council of Ulema, this competition, in which about twenty students from the qualifying levels from the five provinces of the Drâa-Tafilalet region took part, was supervised by a jury responsible for evaluating the performance of the competitors according to precise criteria.
Thus, in the category of the sixth year of primary school level, the first prize was won by the reciter Abdessamie Amari (Aoufous-Errachidia), followed by Firdaous Maaider (Zagora), who was placed second, while the first place in the category of the 3rd year of secondary college was won by Moufid Hamdaoui (Mohammedia), followed by Soufian Idsghir (Ouarzazate).
Regarding the first year (Bac cycle), the reciter Naim Hamzaoui (Zagora) won the first prize ahead of Salma Anaflous (Ouarzazate), while Fatima Ezzahra Ait Saleh (Zagora) was awarded the first prize in the category of the 2nd year bac followed by Khadija El Ghazi (Tinghir).
Speaking on this occasion, the director of the AREF of Drâa-Tafilalet indicated that this event aims to consolidate the traditions of memorisation and chanting of the Holy Quran, to develop the knowledge and skills of students and to ensure the opening of the school to its environment.
This regional competition, he continued, is part of the implementation of framework law 51-17 relating to the education, training and scientific research system and within the framework of the 2022-2026 roadmap and its procedural framework for the year 2024-2025, in particular programme IV relating to parallel educational activities.
