The future of El Jadida is being charted under the banner of tourism. Promoted in the 2020 plan, the capital of the Doukkala confirms once again its positioning in the sector. The bay overlooking the El Haouzia beach is currently a privileged destination for hotel investment.
1,300 hectares will therefore be dedicated to the socio-economic development of the region, thus driving growth through tourism and industrial activity. A complementarity that will therefore be unveiled under the regional programme contract that will be signed this Friday in El Jadida. While waiting for new tourism structures, notably the first Convention Centre in the region or the craft complex in the Mazagan zone, some existing units are getting a makeover.
This is the case for the Pullman Mazagan Royal Golf & Spa. The renovation work undertaken on this space has succeeded in giving a new taste to this hotel institution managed under the Accor signature. "This establishment testifies to the desire of the Accor Group and its partners to contribute to the development of Moroccan tourism.
This establishment embodies both the modernity and comfort of high-end hotel business while cultivating its local identity," indicates Christian Rousseau, Managing Director of Accor Morocco, on the sidelines of the official inauguration of the Pullman Mazagan Royal Golf & Spa, Wednesday, June 19, in El Jadida.
Through this renovation, a new dynamic is breathed in. "El Jadida is not only a tourist destination but also a sports and business destination. The Pullman, under its new identity, has been able to group these three segments into a single space, thus creating a complementarity between these vital poles for Moroccan tourism," underlines, for his part, Lahcen Haddad, Minister of Tourism.
An opinion shared by Jalil Chebihi, Managing Director of the Pullman Mazagan Royal Golf & Spa, who affirms that "the renovation of the Pullman Mazagan has succeeded in giving a double life to this space which aims to be the 3rd entity of the Accor Group in the region, and this after the Ibis and the Ibis Budget".
The renovation work concerned the layout of the rooms and restaurants as well as all the technical and operational infrastructure of the hotel. The establishment today has 121 rooms against 117 previously, including 15 luxury rooms and 16 suites.
The highlight of this destination is its golf space. An eighteen-hole course, designed by Cabell B. Robinson, which marries both the Atlantic coast to the wild woods of the city. The establishment is also equipped with a Spa pavilion favouring relaxation in the heart of the ocean.
The Pullman Mazagan Royal Golf & Spa comes in parallel to encourage MICE. A co-meeting offer is currently deployed allowing El Jadida to adopt a new approach in the organisation of meetings, conventions, seminars, and incentives.
