CAF Confederation Cup (Group 2/Round 5).. RS Berkane draws with its host, the Angolan team Luanda Sul (0-0)

The host team took control of the first half of the match and pressured the Berkane team's defense, coming close on more than one occasion to reaching the net of goalkeeper Mehdi Meftah, who replaced Mohamedi after the decision to rest him. The most dangerous attempt was by left winger Manucho in the 22nd minute, but the crossbar had other ideas.

The offensive pressure from the Angolans continued throughout the first half, with some attempts from the Berkane team, whose starting lineup saw adjustments made by the team's coach, Mouine Chaabani, to give opportunities to other players. The last of these was an attempt by Paul Bassene in the 45th minute, before the Burundian referee, Pacific Ndabihawenimana, announced the end of the first half.

In the second half, the Luanda Sul attack continued to threaten the defense of the Berkane team, which remains the best defensive line in this African competition, but the saves of the orange team's goalkeeper, Mehdi Meftah, prevented the ball from entering.

Faced with the Angolan pressure, Mouine Chaabani made a series of changes to inject new blood and improve the team's performance (Adil Tahif, Youssef Mehri, Imad Riahi, Ayoub Khairi, and Matheus Santos), which had a positive impact on the team's cohesion.

In a second match in the same group, the South African team Stellenbosch won against its guest Stade Malien with a score of two goals to nil.

The Kingdom's representative in this continental competition will host the South African team Stellenbosch in the final match of the group stage on Sunday, January 19.

It is noteworthy that RS Berkane secured its qualification for the quarter-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup since the fourth round, following its victory over its host Stade Malien by one goal to nil.

The RS Berkane team drew with its host, the Angolan team Luanda Sul, with a score of zero to zero, in the match that brought them together today, Sunday, at the 11th of November Stadium in Luanda, for the fifth round of Group B of the CAF Confederation Cup group stage.
