CAF Confederation Cup (Group 2/Round 2).. RS Berkane wins against its host, South Africa's Stellenbosch (3-1)

From the beginning, the Berkane team established full control over the course of the match by relying on good positioning on the pitch and diversifying attacking campaigns from the center and through the wings, while distributing the players' physical effort well across the various periods of the match.

The Orange team did not wait more than 5 minutes to open the scoring, after a beautiful pass from Youssef Mehri into the South African team's penalty area, which Youssef Zghoudi headed beautifully into the net, announcing the first goal for RS Berkane.

RS Berkane continued its pressure on the Stellenbosch defense in an attempt to score the second goal, which it achieved around the 15th minute through the first goal scorer Youssef Zghoudi from a pass by Ayoub Khairi.

Munir Mohamedi's teammates managed the rest of the first half calmly and controlled the midfield completely. In contrast, the South African team's reaction remained timid, with their first real attempt to score coming in the 30th minute through Devin Titus.

In the second half, the pace of the game dropped significantly, with few attempts by the hosts to surprise the Berkane team, but they did not pose a threat to the Moroccan team.

Around the 83rd minute, player Reda Hajji scored the third goal for the Berkane side with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, leaving no chance for the South African goalkeeper.

At a time when coach Mouin Chaabani's men were looking for the fourth goal and missed a flurry of attacks, Stellenbosch surprised the Berkane defense with a goal in the 87th minute through player Haythem Manout (own goal).

The remaining minutes of the match saw the South African team pushing towards goalkeeper Mohamedi's goal in an attempt to score, but the vigilance of the Berkane defense thwarted all these attempts, ending the match with a valuable victory for RS Berkane away from home.

Following the results of the second round of Group B, RS Berkane maintained first place with 6 points, ahead of Stade Malien (4 points). Desportivo Lunda Sul occupies third place with one point, while Stellenbosch occupies fourth place with no points.

In the next round, scheduled for next Sunday, RS Berkane will host Stade Malien (at 8 PM).

The RS Berkane team defeated its host, South Africa's Stellenbosch (3-1), in the match that brought them together this Sunday at the "Moses Mabhida" stadium in the South African city of Durban, as part of the second round of Group B in the group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup.
