Akdital inaugurates an International Oncology Centre in Benguérir

The International Oncology Centre of Benguérir is dedicated to the comprehensive care of cancer patients, with state-of-the-art equipment and an environment conducive to quality care. This ultramodern centre, with a capacity of 81 hospital beds, offers comprehensive and specialised care for patients requiring oncological treatment. The centre is equipped with a radiotherapy accelerator, ensuring targeted and personalised treatments. It also has 23 chemotherapy chairs, allowing treatments to be administered in a comfortable and modern environment.



Within the centre, a nuclear medicine department includes a PET SCAN, essential for precise diagnosis of oncological pathologies, as well as a gamma camera for performing bone scintigraphy examinations. This department also includes facilities for radioactive iodine treatments, allowing for the effective treatment of thyroid cancers and other specific conditions.

For surgical care, the centre is equipped with 6 modern operating theatres, adapted for performing complex interventions. In addition, 18 beds in the intensive care unit are available to ensure monitoring and intensive post-operative care. The centre also includes 8 resuscitation bays for rapid and effective management of critical situations.

The International Oncology Centre of Benguérir has been designed to offer a fluid care pathway, from admission to discharge. Each patient benefits from a personalised welcome and clear guidance to the appropriate department. The centre is equipped with a modern medical analysis laboratory, offering a wide range of tests, and a comprehensive radiology department, including advanced equipment such as MRI, CT scan, mammography, X-ray, and ultrasound, allowing for precise diagnosis for pathology monitoring, treatment planning, and post-treatment follow-up.

In addition, an emergency service is available 24/7, ensuring immediate care for critical situations. Medical data management is digitised and centralised, ensuring instant and secure access to information. This allows for fluid and effective coordination between the different medical teams, ensuring optimal care for each patient.
