"Echoes from Azemmour" for the issue of 13 to 19 December 2024 - The Press Week

» The Azemmour prayer hall (Musalla), despite appeals and calls from various stakeholders, is still surrounded by waste containers placed in the prayer niche area, in a flagrant assault on a space with religious symbolism. During every Eid prayer, the smell of rubbish wafts from it, in an unprecedented situation for a prayer hall. No one has thought of finding a solution to this farce and moving the rubbish containers elsewhere.

» National Promotion workers are uprooting trees indiscriminately along the coastal strip and at the entrance to the city of El Jadida, in a way that destroys everything in its path. This is an environmental massacre that reflects a lack of awareness regarding the importance of the green belt, and the absence of specialists from the Water and Forestry administration to protect these trees that are beneficial to the environment.
