The deployment of the Agadir Logistics Zone is entering its operational phase. The Moroccan Agency for Logistics Development (AMDL), through its subsidiary Moroccan Company for Logistics Facilities (SMIL), has selected 16 operators to develop their investment projects there.
The selection includes several major players in logistics, distribution, and industry, including SNTL, La Voie Express, BIM Maroc, Soft Group, Africa Global Logistics-MSC, Maroc Express, and Smurfit Kappa.
Future investments are expected to focus on logistics real estate projects and the development of Class A warehouses. Agadir is also intended to serve as the first step in a broader sequence of logistics zone development.
The AMDL plans to market the Ouled Saleh-Nouaceur Logistics Zone, south of Casablanca, in the near future.
