Except for Aglou beach, the Agadir destination, considered the primary seaside resort encompassing the Agadir-Anza-Aourir-Taghazout-Imi Ouaddar and Imssouane axis, has once again failed to hoist the Blue Flag during the summer peak. The cause: the persistence of sources of bathing water degradation, which, while perfectly suitable for swimming, do not meet the excellence standards required by the Blue Flag.
More than just a small flag fluttering in the wind, the Blue Flag is an environmental selling point for tourist destinations wishing to label their seaside offer. At the Agadir destination – considered the Kingdom's primary seaside resort, which encompasses the Agadir-Anza-Aourir-Taghazout-Imi Ouaddar and Imssouane axis – the Blue Flag will not be hoisted during the summer peak season (between July and early September) on these various beaches.
