The King's Prosecutor General at the Agadir Court of Appeal announced that a tragic road accident occurred in the commune of Sidi El Kerdane (Sabt El Kerdane), following the bursting of a tyre on a "Pick-up" type utility vehicle. This vehicle was carrying 14 women working in the agricultural sector. The sudden bursting of the tyre led to the driver losing control, causing a violent collision with another vehicle coming from the opposite direction.
This tragedy cost the lives of four women instantly, while five others were seriously injured and transported in an emergency to the nearest health facilities. Furthermore, six additional people, including the two drivers involved, suffered minor injuries.
Faced with the gravity of the facts, the public prosecutor's office immediately ordered the opening of an in-depth investigation to determine the exact circumstances of the accident, to identify any negligence or responsibilities involved, and to take appropriate legal measures based on the results of the ongoing investigations.
