The reserves of the large dams located in the Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region have reached more than 876 million m3, indicates, Monday, the General Directorate of Water, under the Ministry of Equipment and Water.

The reserves of these dams, whose capacity exceeds 1.721 billion m3, stood, to this day, at 876.37 million m3, i.e., a filling rate of 45.87%, against about 669.98 million m3 during the same period of the previous year (38.91%), specifies a report from the Directorate.

At the level of the Loukkos zone, the reserves of the Oued El Makhazine dam (Larache province), the largest dam in the region, reached 466.2 million m3, i.e., a filling rate of about 69.29%, while the reserves of the Dar Khrofa dam stood at 74.7 million m3 (15.55%).

Regarding the reserves of the April 9 dam (Tanger-Assilah prefecture), they amounted to 63.54 million m3, i.e., a filling rate of 21.18%, while this rate reached, at the level of the Ibn Battouta dam, 40.79% (11.88 million m3).

At the level of the Tetouan province, the El Kharroub dam reached a filling rate of 49.20% (92.86 million m3), the Nakhla dam reached a filling rate of 39.57% (1.67 million m3), while the Acharif Al Idrissi dam recorded a filling rate of 81.22% (98.81 million m3).

In the M'diq-Fnideq prefecture, the Smir dam recorded a filling rate of 74.57% (29.04 million m3), while the Moulay El Hassan Ben El Mahdi dam, located in the Fahs-Anjra province, recorded a filling rate of 47.67% (11.17 million m3).

The report also notes that the Tanger Med dam in the Fahs-Anjra province reached a filling rate of 65.74% (14.48 million m3), while this rate reached 14.77% (1.74 million m3) for the Abdelkrim Al Khattabi dam in the Al Hoceima province.

Furthermore, the Chefchaouen dam reached a filling rate of 80.68% (9.88 million m3), while the reserves of the Joumoua dam (Al Hoceima province) reached 0.41 million m3 (7.99%).

Note that the reserves of Morocco's dams have reached, to this day, 4,796.27 million mÂł, i.e., a filling rate of about 28.48%.
