The Jewish community celebrated, on Wednesday, in the commune of Tinzirt (Taroudant province), the Hiloula of Rabbi David Ben Baroukh.
Coming from different cities of the Kingdom and abroad, members of the Moroccan Jewish community flock, every year, to the mausoleum of this Jewish Saint to celebrate the festivities of the Hiloula.
This annual Moussem was marked by the organization of an official reception in which the Wali of the Souss-Massa region, Governor of the Agadir Ida-Outanane prefecture, Said Amzazi, the Governor of the Taroudant province, Mabrouk Tabet, the President of the Regional Council of Ulema of Souss-Massa, Yazid Raddi, and other civil and military personalities took part. During this ceremony, the participants implored the Almighty to grant His Majesty King Mohammed VI health, happiness, and a long life. The audience also prayed to the Most High to bless the Sovereign in the persons of HRH Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan, HRH Prince Moulay Rachid, and all members of the Illustrious Royal Family.
Prayers were also raised for the repose of the souls of the late HM Hassan II and the late HM Mohammed V. In a statement to MAP, Alber Al Maleh, responsible for the mausoleum of Rabbi David Ben Baroukh, highlighted the importance of this Hiloula which annually brings together Jews from Morocco and abroad.
