Rabat – Participants in a seminar held today, Friday, in Rabat, called for strengthening the partnership between Moroccan talents abroad and national media to contribute to achieving development goals.
Speakers at this seminar, organized by the National Syndicate of the Moroccan Press in partnership with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region and the University of Moroccan World Talents, on the theme "Media partnership and Moroccan world talents: A key lever for promoting the commercial and industrial strategy of advanced regionalization – The Rabat-Salé-Kénitra Chamber as a model," recommended optimizing the investment of human capital from Moroccans living abroad to keep pace with the development boom the Kingdom is experiencing in all fields.
In this regard, they highlighted the role of the media ecosystem in shedding light on the talents of Moroccans living abroad and their contributions to serving development in their motherland, citing examples of these talents working in promising and highly profitable sectors, such as entrepreneurship, economy, and trade.
The President of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region, Hassan Sakhi, affirmed that Moroccans of the world constitute one of the fundamental pillars for stimulating investment, creating wealth and job opportunities, and achieving comprehensive economic and social development, noting their pivotal roles in activating economic diplomacy and introducing the economic and tourism potential and qualifications that the Kingdom possesses in order to attract investors, especially in vital sectors with technical value.
In a speech read on his behalf, Sakhi valued the high Royal initiatives aimed at making Moroccans of the world a real lever for investment, confirming the Chamber's full commitment to accompanying and supporting all investment projects for this category by bringing services closer to them, providing assistance and advice, and accompanying them in the fields of training and project study implementation, and benefiting from the advantages of partnership agreements concluded with national and international institutions.
For his part, the President of the University of Moroccan Talents Residing Abroad, Redouane El Kadiri, recalled the high Royal directives aimed at the effective involvement of Moroccans of the world in the economic, industrial, and commercial development of the country.
El Kadiri explained, in a similar speech, that this category is considered "a rich source of skills and experiences that have crystallized in developed economic environments, and it is capable of formulating practical solutions to the challenges facing the economic and commercial system in our country."
For his part, the President of the National Syndicate of the Moroccan Press, Abdellkebir Akhchichine, highlighted the strong relationship that the media must weave with Moroccan institutions and talents abroad, especially in the field of investment, saying that "it is time for the media to give this segment of society the support and accompaniment it deserves, in a way that facilitates its integration into the national economic fabric."
In this regard, Akhchichine noted that the partnership between the Syndicate and the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region aims to discuss topics of interest to this category, given the position it occupies as a "national wealth and a pillar of development."
The seminar addressed several topics, mainly "The role of Moroccans of the world in economic development and parallel diplomacy," and "The role of Moroccan talents residing abroad in achieving development .. Opportunities and challenges in the context of strengthening national sovereignty."
