More than 180 exhibitors are participating in the activities of the Regional Exhibition of Handicraft Products, organized by the Chamber of Handicrafts for the Oriental region in partnership with the Dar Al Sani Foundation and the Regional Delegation for Handicrafts in the region, and whose work will continue until January 4th.
This exhibition, held in Oujda under the slogan "Our crafts are the title of our civilization", aims to highlight the richness and diversity of the traditional craft heritage in the region, enhance the role of artisans in preserving the Moroccan cultural identity, and support the local economy.
This exhibition, set up on an area estimated at 2,500 square metres, includes 126 stands displaying various products for artisans representing various provinces and regions of the Oriental region, a number of regions of the Kingdom, and some African countries.
These products include, in particular, traditional rugs, leather goods, pottery, traditional clothing, silver jewellery, as well as other distinguished handmade works that embody the ingenuity of Moroccan artisans and the diversity and richness of the cultural heritage that Morocco abounds with.
This exhibition falls within the framework of a series of similar exhibitions that the Chamber will organize in various provinces of the Oriental region, and it is considered a distinguished opportunity for exhibitors to market their products, as well as to exchange experiences and expertise with artisans coming from various provinces and regions of the Kingdom.
It is noteworthy that this exhibition, which opened its doors to visitors on December 26th, was also organized in cooperation with the Wilaya of the Oriental region, the Regional Council, the Oujda-Angad Prefecture Council, and the Oujda Commune.
