Omar Hejira, Secretary of State in charge of Foreign Trade, accompanied by the Wali of the Oriental region, Khatib El Hebil, and many political and economic figures, chaired a consultative meeting in Oujda within the framework of preparing the roadmap for foreign trade for the year 2025. The meeting, which was held at the headquarters of the region's Wilaya, saw the participation of actors from the public and private sectors, and representatives of professional chambers and parliamentarians, with the aim of discussing the mechanisms proposed to strengthen regional exports and diversify international markets.
Hejira confirmed that the 2025 roadmap aims to develop and stimulate exports, with a focus on regional specificities to increase competitiveness and enter new markets. He pointed out in his presentation that the Oriental region ranks sixth nationally in industrial exports with a turnover reaching 6.6 billion dirhams, with opportunities to achieve qualitative leaps through the development of infrastructure, diversification of markets, and encouragement of foreign investment. He stressed the importance of organizing a regional forum for investment and export to activate this vision and support the projects of Moroccans of the world, while providing the necessary banking facilities to attract their investments.
