Opening of the new bus station in Es-Semara

This new bus station, which was inaugurated in the presence of the Wali of the Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra region, Governor of the Laâyoune province, Abdeslam Bekrate, the Governor of the Es-Semara province, Brahim Boutoumilate, the President of the Regional Council, Sidi Hamdi Ould Errachid, and a number of elected officials, is part of the urban upgrading program for the city of Es-Semara with a budget estimated at 12.2 million dirhams.

This project, which was completed in the Rbeib urban hub, was built on an area of 16,543 square meters, of which 1,063 square meters are covered, while the exterior area is approximately 15,480 square meters.

This bus station, which the Es-Semara commune is responsible for managing, includes five ticket counters, a waiting area, parking lots, a police station, and a prayer room, in addition to shops, cafés, and sanitary facilities.

This public facility, which is the subject of a multi-party partnership agreement between the General Directorate of Local Authorities, the Agency for the Promotion and Economic and Social Development of the Southern Provinces, and the Provincial and Communal Councils of Es-Semara, will enable travelers and professionals to benefit from the best services while respecting safety conditions.

A number of travelers using this station welcomed the inauguration of this new bus building, which has all the amenities, praising the fluidity of movement within this station and the presence of a large fleet of buses.

For their part, road transport professionals agreed that this new station will contribute to improving working conditions and the movement of citizens.

The new bus station in Es-Semara opened its doors last Thursday to receive passengers, buses, and grand taxis, with the aim of ensuring the comfort of travelers and securing the optimal management of this public facility.
