The 4,000 recruits underwent initial military training over the past four months, while the second phase of training (8 months) will be dedicated to vocational qualification in several specialties that take into account the recruits' qualifications and educational levels.
The basic training program focused on the military aspect, including military movements, martial arts, citizenship education, physical education, and others, with the aim of strengthening moral values and discipline among recruits and introducing them to the military lifestyle.
In a speech addressed to the recruits during the oath-taking ceremony, Brigadier General Ahmed Bousarbat, Commander of the Oued Draa Military Sector, said, "After completing your initial training period, which is considered the foundation of the recruitment process, you have the honour today of taking the oath, which is considered the solid pact and permanent covenant that binds you to our beloved King, the Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces," His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
During this ceremony, which was attended by a number of senior officers at the Fourth Recruit Training Centre in El Ouatia, Brigadier General Bousarbat urged the recruits to feel the deep meanings of this sacred commitment and to realize the strength of this powerful bond, which "is embodied by pride in your patriotism and your love for your country".
He also indicated that the second phase of military service will be entirely dedicated to acquiring skills in certain military and technical specialties that will allow recruits to enhance their professional capabilities and practical skills.
In this regard, he called on the recruits of the 39th batch to continue their efforts during the next phase with more hard work and full commitment in order to fully benefit from the programs and means provided by the Royal Armed Forces to ensure the success of their vocational training, which will enable them to enter the ranks of the Royal Armed Forces for those who meet the necessary conditions, or the world of work with high competencies.
Brigadier General Bousarbat took this opportunity to commend all the instructors, including officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers, "who dedicated themselves to training and mentoring you with pride and honour, embodying the high Royal instructions aimed at making this noble mission a success".
For their part, a number of instructors and recruits expressed, in statements to the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP), their satisfaction with the smooth progress of the military training, and their aspiration to embark on the specialization phase, which will contribute to enhancing the recruits' professional and cognitive capabilities and qualifications.
In this context, the instructor at the Fourth Recruit Training Centre, Captain Issam Saadaoui, said that the first phase, which concerns the joint basic training, enabled the recruits to form their moral, psychological, and physical capabilities significantly, and they are now on the verge of the vocational training phase, which will enable them to enter the ranks of the Royal Armed Forces for those who meet the necessary conditions, or to open up to the job market.
For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Ballout, Deputy Commander of the Centre, confirmed that the joint basic training phase for military service recruits, which lasted for four months, saw the participation of a large number of recruits who completed their training with determination and persistence, adding that this training period was a decisive milestone in preparing them physically and mentally, as it included training on a wide range of military skills ranging from discipline and military tactics to teamwork and the spirit of cooperation.
He pointed out that the recruits showed exceptional commitment and a high sense of responsibility during this period, and they also worked with a team spirit and a spirit of full discipline.
As for the recruit, Omar Benskar from the city of Oujda, he expressed his pride in belonging to the Royal Armed Forces family, confirming that the joint basic training phase enabled him to learn discipline, self-reliance, and how to use weapons, and that he is looking forward to the second phase, which concerns vocational training, where he chose the refrigeration specialty, which will open horizons for him to enter the job market.
In turn, the recruit Bennacer Bari from the city of Zag (Assa-Zag province), highlighted that the first phase of the joint basic training passed in good conditions, which enabled him to learn the spirit of responsibility, discipline, and citizenship, adding that he is looking forward to the second phase, which concerns vocational training, where he chose the assistant nurse specialty, considering that this specialty will open horizons for him in the nursing field.
This ceremony was marked by a military parade, martial arts displays, a tactical exercise to simulate the liberation of two prisoners from the hands of the enemy, as well as a review of the recruits.
Awards were also distributed to a number of recruits in the 39th batch, including the award for excellence in physical and military education, the award for diligence and hard work, and the award for discipline and conduct.
The program of this ceremony also included a cultural activity interspersed with various artistic workshops, especially in singing, poetry, and theater, reflecting the richness and diversity of Moroccan heritage.
The recruits participating in these events showed their artistic talents and expressed their feelings while armed with the qualities of confidence, commitment, and dedication that they acquired during the training phase.
