In this regard, the Council, during the proceedings of this session, chaired by the President of the Regional Council, Abdelouahed El Ansari, in the presence of the Wali of the Fez-Meknes region and governor of the prefecture of Fez, Maad Al-Jamai, approved the draft statutes of the "Regional Company for Multi-Services Fez-Meknes", an independent company (S.M.).
In this regard, the Council members approved the draft shareholders' agreement for the company, whose capital is 100 million dirhams, as well as the State's assumption, through the Ministry of the Interior, of the contribution of the Fez-Meknes Regional Council to the company's capital.
During this session, the establishment of "Fez Region Development Company", an independent company (S.M.), its draft statutes, its draft shareholders' agreement, and the draft programming of the necessary credits for the company's contribution were also approved.
Among the tasks that "Fez Region Development Company" will undertake are the execution of works related to the construction, development, reinforcement, or rectification of public or territorial infrastructure, equipment, and facilities within the framework of partnerships as a "delegated project owner" with government departments or territorial authorities concerned, and the management and operation of public facilities entrusted to the company by the relevant territorial authorities.
The session's agenda also included the study and approval of the draft amendment No. 1 to the agreement on "the universalisation of pre-school education in the region", and the draft amendment No. 2 to the agreement on "the promotion of the sports sector in the Fez-Meknes region" concerning the construction of the multi-sports indoor arena in Fez, in addition to the draft amendment No. 3 to the agreement on "the construction of a conference palace in Fez".
In his speech at the opening of the session, Mr. Abdelouahed El Ansari stated that the Fez-Meknes region is currently experiencing a new and significant dynamic in various fields, highlighting that the Council has developed its vision for the implementation of development programmes and projects, supported by financial structuring, and their completion within the set deadlines in coordination and cooperation with various partners and stakeholders.
