The University explained in a statement that the start of this event (4 km), which will be organised in partnership with the Zagora Province Prefecture under the slogan "I run as much as I can", will be given from the Corniche square in the city of Zagora at 11 am, with the participation of women from various social strata and age groups.
The statement added that this sporting event "comes in celebration of the 81st anniversary of the presentation of the Independence Manifesto, which constituted a decisive turning point in the path of the national struggle for freedom, independence, and the completion of the Kingdom's territorial integrity".
The University had organised on January 19 and 20, 2024, a national caravan for sport for all in the Agdz territorial commune and in the city of Zagora, which included sports, educational, and recreational activities and popular games.
January 21 was dedicated to the "Women's Victory Steps" event, which was marked by a significant participation of women (more than 5,000 participants) from female students of educational institutions, in addition to women from various social categories, including some foreigners.
It is noteworthy that the city of Nador had hosted on Saturday, October 12, the first leg of the second edition of "Women's Victory Steps", in celebration of National Women's Day, which saw intensive participation of girls, young women, and women from various social strata from the city and its suburbs.
It is scheduled that the third, fourth, and fifth legs of "Women's Victory Steps" will be organised respectively in the cities of Ben Guerir (February 22), Mediouna (April 6), and Rabat (April 13).
