In the context of supporting childhood and youth, the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) has purchased school transport buses for the benefit of various Douars and communes in the province, in order to strengthen the bus fleet and facilitate the access of students from rural communes to educational institutions, with the aim of combating school dropout, encouraging the schooling of rural girls, and increasing enrollment rates.
There is no doubt that the development of school transport contributes to providing appropriate and suitable educational conditions for students and reducing the expenses that families must bear to enable their children to continue their education normally.
In this regard, the Head of the Social Action Division at the Tata Prefecture, Said Moussaoui, highlighted in a statement to the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) the effective contribution of the National Initiative for Human Development in supporting and strengthening school transport services, given its role in improving schooling conditions and curbing the phenomenon of school dropout, especially among learners in rural areas.
He pointed out that the National Initiative for Human Development has worked to expand the school transport fleet in the province, within the framework of its program dedicated to the advancement of human capital for future generations, specifically the axis related to "supporting schooling and combating school dropout," through the acquisition of 38 school transport buses since 2018, in the framework of a partnership between the National Initiative for Human Development, the Provincial Council of Tata, and the National Agency for the Development of Oasis and Argan Zones, with a financial envelope estimated at 15.6 million dirhams, to which the Initiative contributed 5.7 million dirhams.
For his part, the President of the "Oum El Kerdane" School Transport Association, Abdelkader Rahmani, confirmed that this association oversees the management of the school transport service in the territorial commune of Oum El Kerdane, affiliated with the province of Tata, where it manages 4 buses received through agreements with the territorial commune of Oum El Kerdane, the Provincial Council of Tata, and the Provincial Committee of the National Initiative for Human Development, including one bus for the "Ma El Ainin" middle school and the "Ibn Al Haytham" high school, and three buses for the community school.
He added that these buses provide transport for a group of students from the Douars affiliated with the Oum El Kerdane commune, including Anghrif, Tizart, Jbayir, Tarsoult, and Douar El Ayoun.
Efforts continue at the level of the Tata province to ensure the generalization of school transport services, in order to achieve equal opportunities between students, in accordance with the spirit and philosophy of the National Initiative for Human Development. These efforts have resulted in a noticeable improvement in enrollment rates, improved student performance, and reduced rates of absenteeism and dropout.
By adopting a proactive approach, the National Initiative for Human Development has made supporting children and adolescents a priority goal within its third phase, aimed at combating school dropout and failure and supporting the development of the children concerned, in order to strengthen the human capital of individuals at all stages of their lives.
