Thus, the committee approved during this meeting, chaired by the Governor of Tan-Tan province, Abdellah Chater, one project under the first program related to addressing the deficit in infrastructure and basic services in the least equipped territorial areas, which concerns the construction of a water tank and equipping a borehole with a submersible water pump and solar panels to enhance water supply for the benefit of the population, livestock farmers, and nomadic herders, with a budget of 450 thousand dirhams funded by the National Initiative for Human Development.
15 projects were also approved under the program to support people in vulnerable situations, with a budget of 7 million and 646 thousand dirhams, of which 7 million and 236 thousand dirhams is a contribution from the Initiative, targeting people with disabilities, as well as women and youth in difficult situations.
The committee also approved three projects within the framework of the program to improve income and economic inclusion for youth, with a financial cost estimated at 2.68 million dirhams, of which 1.97 million dirhams is a contribution from the Initiative, with the aim of socio-professional integration for youth and women in difficult situations.
The committee also approved 6 projects proposed under the program to promote human development for future generations, allocated a sum of 9.17 million dirhams, which concern the two axes of supporting maternal and child health, and supporting schooling and combating school dropout, to which the Initiative contributed 7.93 million dirhams.
The Provincial Committee also approved horizontal activities and operations, including 4 projects with a total cost of 810 thousand dirhams funded by the Initiative, which concern awareness and sensitization campaigns, communication meetings, and provincial sports forums, as well as launching a diagnosis process for vulnerable groups in the province, aimed primarily at establishing a provincial roadmap for the advancement of vulnerable groups.
The committee members also approved during this meeting the termination of a partnership agreement between the Provincial Committee for Human Development and the Tan-Tan Initiative-Development Association.
The Governor of Tan-Tan province emphasized, on the occasion, that this meeting falls within the framework of the work of the Provincial Committee for Human Development to implement the programs of the National Initiative for Human Development workshop, which aims to direct its interventions towards promoting human capital development, caring for future generations, and supporting vulnerable groups through the optimal activation of the proposed programs and projects, and monitoring and evaluating them.
Mr. Chater pointed out that this meeting constitutes a renewed opportunity for consultation and sharing ideas and practices with the aim of improving the services provided, as well as an important occasion to identify the constraints that may hinder the implementation of projects as required and to work together to find solutions to overcome them, highlighting that the National Initiative for Human Development's action program for 2025 constitutes a continuation of the third phase programs of the Initiative.
He added that this program will see a new start for innovative and promising projects that will have a positive impact on the targeted groups, highlighting that the goal of proposing these projects is to achieve the requirements that aim to improve the living conditions of the population in line with the values and goals of the National Initiative for Human Development.
For his part, Youssef Binaho, an executive in the Social Work Division at the Tan-Tan Provincial Prefecture, confirmed in a statement to the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) agency that during this meeting, the projects proposed within the framework of the National Initiative for Human Development's action program for 2025 were studied and approved, totaling 29 projects with a total cost exceeding 20 million dirhams, to which the Initiative contributed more than 18 million dirhams.
He added that these projects target people in vulnerable situations, youth in difficult situations, as well as maternal and child health, and supporting schooling and combating school dropout.
