The 4,000 recruits underwent initial military training over the past four months, while the second phase of training (8 months) will be dedicated to vocational qualification in several specialties, taking into account the recruits' qualifications and educational levels.
The basic training program focused on the military aspect, including military drills, martial arts, civic education, physical training, and others, with the aim of strengthening moral values and discipline among the recruits and introducing them to the military lifestyle.
In a speech addressed to the recruits during the oath-taking ceremony, Brigadier General Ahmed Bousarbat, Commander of the Oued Draa Military Sector, said, "Having completed your initial training period, which is the foundation of the recruitment process, you today have the honour of taking the oath, which is the solid pact and eternal covenant that binds you to our glorious King, the Supreme Commander and Chief of General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces," His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
During this ceremony, which was attended by a number of senior officers at the Fourth Recruit Training Centre in El Ouateya, Brigadier General Bousarbat urged the recruits to grasp the deep significance of this sacred commitment and to realise the strength of this powerful bond, which "is embodied by pride in your patriotism and your love for your country."
He also noted that the second phase of military service will be entirely devoted to acquiring skills in certain military and technical specialties that will enable the recruits to enhance their professional capabilities and practical skills.
In this regard, he called on the recruits of the 39th contingent to continue their efforts during the coming phase with more hard work and full commitment in order to take full advantage of the programs and resources provided by the Royal Armed Forces to ensure the success of their vocational training, which will enable them to join the ranks of the Royal Armed Forces for those who meet the necessary conditions, or the world of work with high competencies.
Brigadier General Bousarbat took this opportunity to commend all the instructors, including officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers, "who dedicated themselves to training and guiding you with pride and honour, in embodiment of the high Royal instructions aimed at making this noble mission a success."
For their part, a number of instructors and recruits, in statements to the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP), expressed their satisfaction with the smooth progress of the military training and their anticipation for the specialisation phase, which will contribute to enhancing the recruits' professional and cognitive capabilities.
In this context, the instructor at the Fourth Recruit Training Centre, Captain Issam Saadaoui, said that the first phase, which concerns the common basic training, has enabled the recruits to significantly develop their moral, psychological, and physical capabilities, and they are now on the verge of the vocational training phase, which will enable them to join the ranks of the Royal Armed Forces for those who meet the necessary conditions, or to open up to the labour market.
For his part, Lieutenant Colonel Ahmed Ballout, Deputy Commander of the Centre, confirmed that the common basic training phase for military service recruits, which lasted for four months, saw the participation of a large number of recruits who completed their training with determination and persistence, adding that this training period was a decisive milestone in preparing them physically and mentally, as it included training on a wide range of military skills, starting from discipline and military tactics to teamwork and the spirit of cooperation.
He pointed out that the recruits showed exceptional commitment and a high sense of responsibility during this period, and also worked with a team spirit and a spirit of complete discipline.
As for the recruit, Omar Benskar from the city of Oujda, he expressed his pride in belonging to the Royal Armed Forces family, confirming that the common basic training phase enabled him to learn discipline, self-reliance, and how to use weapons, and that he is looking forward to the second phase, which concerns vocational training, where he chose the refrigeration specialty, which will open up horizons for him to enter the labour market.
In turn, recruit Bennacer Bari from the city of Zag (Assa-Zag province) highlighted that the first phase of the common basic training went well, which enabled him to learn the spirit of responsibility, discipline, and citizenship, adding that he is looking forward to the second phase, which concerns vocational training, where he chose the assistant nurse specialty, considering that this specialty will open up horizons for him in the field of nursing.
The ceremony was marked by a military parade, martial arts displays, a tactical exercise simulating the liberation of two prisoners from enemy hands, as well as a review of the recruits.
Awards were also distributed to a number of recruits in the 39th contingent, including the award for excellence in physical and military education, the award for diligence and hard work, and the award for discipline and conduct.
The program of this ceremony also included a cultural activity interspersed with various artistic workshops, particularly in singing, poetry, and theatre, reflecting the richness and diversity of Moroccan heritage.
The recruits participating in these events demonstrated their artistic talents and expressed their feelings while armed with the qualities of confidence, commitment, and dedication they acquired during the training phase.
