The National Office of Electricity and Potable Water (ONEE) has announced that it has prequalified three business consortia for the construction of the El Menzel Pumped Storage Power Plant (STEP), a strategic project with a planned capacity of 300 to 400 MW.
As part of the call for applications launched by ONEE, six business consortia submitted their files. At the end of the prequalification phase, three of them were selected. They are:
Consortium CHINA INTERNATIONAL WATER & ELECTRIC CORP. / YELLOW RIVER ENGINEERING CONSULTING. CO LTD / HARBIN ELECTRIC MACHINERY COMPANY LTD / HARBIN ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL COMPANY LTD / JET CONTRACTORS
Consortium SINOHYDRO / ANDRITZ HYDRO
Consortium WEBUILD S.P.A / DONGFANG ELECTRIC INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION
These companies are now invited to submit their technical and financial proposals as part of the call for tenders for this project.
