According to data from the Social Work Division at the Rehamna province prefecture, the contribution of the National Initiative for Human Development to financing these projects during the past year reached 31.3 million dirhams (at a rate estimated at 87 percent).
The same source explained that this concerns 10 projects with a financial cost reaching 7.92 million dirhams as a contribution from the Initiative, within the framework of the programme related to bridging the deficit in infrastructure and basic social services in the least equipped territorial areas, and they concerned the supply of drinking water (9,200 beneficiaries), rural electrification, roads, paths, and technical facilities (11,000 people).
Within the framework of the programme to support people in vulnerable situations, the number of projects reached 9 with a financial envelope estimated at 5.2 million dirhams as a contribution from the Initiative, and they targeted people suffering from disability without having an income, beggars, homeless people, street children, and youth without shelter.
The projects also included 87 projects within the framework of the programme to support employment and economic integration of youth (the two axes of entrepreneurship and income improvement) with 14.4 million dirhams, in which the National Initiative for Human Development contributed 9.57 million dirhams, and they included the sectors of agriculture, services, and handicrafts.
Regarding the programme to advance human development for future generations, the number of programmed projects reached 15 projects financed by the National Initiative for Human Development with 9.53 million dirhams, and they concerned the two axes of maternal and child health, and support for schooling.
The third phase of the National Initiative for Human Development places human capital at the heart of its concerns, and among its strategic goals is achieving comprehensive human development that allows equal opportunities for all citizens.
