Youth from the mountain village of “Tighza” in the Khenifra province have called for sustainable solutions for the future of mountain populations, on the occasion of International Mountain Day.
The region's youth emphasised the need to promote innovation in mountain areas by supporting research and creative solutions that contribute to improving livelihoods, developing sustainable agriculture, and preserving mountain ecosystems.
These activists demanded the adoption of sustainable adaptation policies and strategies to address climate change, as well as the provision of education and training opportunities and support for entrepreneurship in the fields of sustainable agriculture, eco-tourism, and natural resource management, in order to enable them to play an active role in community development.
