The national caravan "Sport without Doping" arrives in Kenitra

This caravan, organised by the Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency, aims to raise awareness about the dangers of doping as an issue affecting public health.

The programme for this final stop, which runs from 16 to 20 December in the Rabat-Salé-Kenitra region, includes a series of working sessions, thematic meetings, and workshops.

During a meeting hosted at the headquarters of the Kenitra province, the efforts made in the field of prevention and raising awareness about the importance of fighting doping in the sports field were highlighted.

On this occasion, the Governor of Kenitra province, Abdelhamid El Mazid, emphasised in particular the special attention that His Majesty King Mohammed VI continues to pay to sport.

He pointed out that sport remains a source of investment and a fundamental component of parallel diplomacy that contributes to the Kingdom's influence thanks to the events it hosts and the achievements of Moroccan athletes.

For her part, the President of the Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency, Fatima Abouali, stated that the national caravan "Sport without Doping", which toured various regions of the Kingdom, made it possible to raise awareness among various segments of Moroccan society about the dire consequences of doping.

In this regard, she stressed the need for the combined efforts of all stakeholders for the effective fight against doping, which negatively affects the ethics of sport, in addition to its dangerous effects on health.

This meeting was attended by, in addition to the Governor of Kenitra province and the President of the Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency, a number of professors, experts, and technicians active in this field.

It should be noted that the Moroccan Anti-Doping Agency, established in 2020, is responsible for implementing a programme of education, training, and awareness for athletes and coaches, finding ways to avoid the use of doping in sports practices and events, and cooperating with national and international sports federations and organisations, as well as communicating with the World Anti-Doping Agency.

The national caravan "Sport without Doping", organised under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, arrived today, Thursday, in the city of Kenitra, as part of its twelfth and final stop.
