In a statement to MAP, Mr. Azmi affirmed that all provincial services were mobilised under the effective supervision of the Governor of the Ifrane Province following moderate snowfall that caused traffic disruptions on the province's strategic road axes.
Temporary traffic disruptions were recorded, notably on National Road No. 13 connecting Azrou, Timahdite, and Ait Oufella, the provincial official noted, adding that snow-clearing operations allowed for the opening of the road between Azrou and Timahdite, while efforts continue between Timahdite and Ait Oufella.
National Road No. 08 (RN08) also experienced a half-hour traffic interruption between Azrou and Ifrane, he added, specifying that the intervention of snow-clearing teams with two machines allowed for the clearing of the road, which is now open to traffic, particularly the exit from Ifrane towards El Hajeb.
Only the Michlifen road remains closed to traffic while awaiting the intervention of snow-clearing machines, Mr. Azmi remarked.
