Human development .. Approval of the completion of 55 projects with a financial envelope exceeding 5.29 million dirhams in Guercif

This concerns the approval of the completion of 53 projects with a financial envelope exceeding 4.8 million dirhams, within the framework of the programme for income improvement and economic inclusion of young people, as well as the approval of the completion of a project to strengthen the supply of drinking water to the centre of the Berkine commune, and a project for the external development of reception centres in the Ghiata urban pole in the city of Guercif.

In a speech on the occasion, the Governor of the Guercif province, Abdelsalam El Hattach, highlighted that the National Initiative for Human Development in its third phase (2019-2024) is keen to consolidate the achievements of the two previous phases, by focusing on promoting human capital, caring for the younger generations, and supporting social cohesion and the economic inclusion of young people.

Mr. El Hattach pointed out that the Initiative also aims to consolidate its role as a fundamental lever for achieving convergence and mobilising efforts, based on a methodology built on creative and innovative governance aimed at achieving greater harmony and effectiveness between the various actors and stakeholders.

The provincial official called for permanent engagement within a future vision in order to enhance achievements, and to exploit the qualifications that the province possesses in order to give added value to the available potential, and to raise the standard of living of the local population, in accordance with the High Orientations of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.

In turn, the Head of the Social Action Division at the Guercif province prefecture, Hassan Gara, confirmed in a statement to the press that this meeting was marked by the approval of the completion of 45 projects within the axis of supporting entrepreneurship (Leadership Generation 4) with a financial envelope estimated at 3.63 million dirhams, to which the National Initiative contributes 3.2 million dirhams, and 8 projects within the axis of supporting the social and solidarity economy, with a total cost estimated at 1.18 million dirhams, to which the Initiative contributes an amount of 0.7 million dirhams, within the framework of the programme for income improvement and economic inclusion of young people.

He added that the committee also approved the completion of a project to strengthen the supply of drinking water to the centre of the Berkine commune, within the programme to address the deficit in infrastructure and basic services in the least equipped territorial areas, with a total cost estimated at 180,000 dirhams, as well as a project for the external development of reception centres in the Ghiata urban pole, with a financial envelope amounting to 300,000 dirhams, within the programme to support people in vulnerable situations.

On the sidelines of this meeting, the Governor of the province oversaw the delivery of 11 school transport vehicles, which were purchased with a financial envelope estimated at 4.9 million dirhams, within the framework of a partnership between the National Initiative for Human Development (1.4 million dirhams), the Agency for the Development of the Northern Provinces (2.1 million dirhams), and the Directorate of Rural Affairs at the Ministry of Interior (1.4 million dirhams), for the benefit of the regional association "Youth of the Future" to support schooling in Guercif.

In the same context, a school transport vehicle was also delivered for the benefit of the centre for training and integration of children with disabilities, which was purchased by the National Initiative for Human Development, at a financial cost estimated at 363,000 dirhams, and a social ambulance for the benefit of the social shelter centre, which was purchased with funding from the National Initiative for Human Development for an amount estimated at more than 408,000 dirhams.

Mr. El Hattach also oversaw the distribution of 9 electric mobile wheelchairs, which were purchased by the National Mutual Aid Foundation at a total cost of 270,000 dirhams, for the benefit of people with disabilities, including 5 students.

The Provincial Committee for Human Development in the Guercif province approved, this Thursday, the completion of 55 projects with a financial envelope exceeding 5.29 million dirhams.
