The Dar Homran Association for Rural Development and Solidarity organised, last Saturday, for the second consecutive year, a free medical day for the inhabitants of the Douar Dar Homran, located in the Fahs Anjra province. This event, marked by a large turnout, was held in the hall adjacent to the Dar Homran mosque and brought together more than 500 beneficiaries from mountainous areas.
Thanks to the commitment of a group of volunteer doctors, the inhabitants of the region were able to access medical consultations and examinations in several specialties. Among the services offered were ophthalmology, general medicine, paediatrics, and cardiology. Participants also benefited from complementary examinations such as ultrasounds, electrocardiograms, and vision corrections with free distribution of glasses.
In a statement to the press, Ahmed Ben Ayad, president of the association, expressed his pride in the success of this initiative. "We are happy to organise this medical day, to which several health professionals, nurses, assistants, and volunteers have contributed, in order to improve the health of the inhabitants of the village of Dar Homran, to which I belong, and to bring care and treatments closer to the destitute populations", he declared. He stressed that this medical day, unique in its kind in the region, meets a pressing need of the inhabitants.
In parallel with the medical activity, festive events were organised for children, contributing to creating an atmosphere of joy and cheerfulness. Young participants were able to enjoy educational activities, artistic shows, and fun games, fostering an environment that is both recreational and enriching.
In accordance with royal instructions aimed at strengthening social cohesion and supporting vulnerable populations, the Dar Homran Association reaffirms its commitment to continue its efforts to improve the living conditions of the inhabitants of rural areas. Ahmed Ben Ayad called on all stakeholders to mobilise further to promote sustainable development in regions suffering from fragility and social disparities.
For his part, Adnan Choujairi, a general practitioner in Kenitra and a volunteer during this campaign, praised the organisation and impact of this event: "This medical campaign, which took place in good conditions, allowed more than 500 people, including children and the elderly, to receive essential care."
