Essaouira: launch of the "Web4Jobs" coding and programming centre for training in digital professions

This event, which marked the official launch of this platform currently in operation, was held in the presence of the Governor of Essaouira Province, Adil El Maliki, as well as representatives of relevant services, local stakeholders, partners, and young candidates.

This new centre, launched with the support of the National Initiative for Human Development, aspires to become a key lever for the social and economic integration of young people in Essaouira Province, by offering support lasting from 3 to 24 months.

This support involves teaching technical knowledge, refining language skills, and developing personal skills through independent and remote learning, as well as regular face-to-face meetings and online discussion forums.

In a speech on the occasion, Mr. El Maliki praised the opening of this training space, which is part of the efforts made at the provincial level to strengthen the economic empowerment of young people and support innovative initiatives aimed at reducing unemployment through concrete and sustainable solutions.

In this regard, he praised the contribution of Technopark Essaouira to highlighting a new generation of young talent capable of facing digital challenges and contributing to the economic transformation of the province.

On this occasion, the audience followed a comprehensive presentation that introduced the components and specificities of this centre, particularly the technical training modules that focus on the most in-demand professions, such as web development, programming, digital design, and data analysis.

Thus, more than 100 candidates from several communes in the province were invited to attend admission interviews, and 50 of them will be selected to join this training programme.

These young beneficiaries will have the opportunity to develop the skills required in the job market and benefit from special support to achieve professional integration.

The project manager of "Web4Jobs", Ayman Bounri, highlighted in a statement to the Maghreb Arabe Presse (MAP) that the opening of this centre in Essaouira, the first of its kind at the provincial level, is part of an ambitious approach aimed at democratising access to innovative training in emerging professions, adding that this initiative reflects the desire to provide young people in Essaouira with a foundation to launch towards professional and entrepreneurial opportunities in the digital sector.

He pointed out that this programme is not limited to technical training, but also includes the aspect related to entrepreneurship support, allowing participants to acquire the necessary tools to develop their own projects or engage in self-employment activities, explaining that in addition to the certificates obtained, winners will be awarded a label allowing them to lead courses on digital education and coordinate remote pedagogical sessions.

This ceremony included a visit to the modern facilities of this centre and a networking session that brought together young candidates, industry professionals, and partners.

Technopark Essaouira hosted, this Wednesday, the launch ceremony of the coding and programming centre "Web4Jobs", a training and support space aimed at serving the professional integration of young people in digital professions.
