Moroccan heritage and identity at the heart of the first school forum for plastic arts in El Jadida

This forum, organized by the El Jadida Foundation for Arts and Cultures, in coordination with the provincial directorate of the Ministry of National Education, Preschool and Sports, under the theme "For an open and creative school", brings together many secondary school students from various public and private schools.

This cultural event, which will continue until January 18, represents a unique opportunity to discover a group of talented and creative young artists in the field of painting, with the aim of developing their skills and nurturing their artistic and creative spirit.

In this regard, the President of the El Jadida Foundation for Arts and Cultures, Abdelhak Lechhab, emphasized that organizing this forum allows participants to expand their imagination and gives them the opportunity to express themselves freely, by transforming their emotions and ideas into artistic creations carrying deep messages and noble human values.

He added, in a statement to MAP, that the El Jadida Foundation for Arts and Cultures has opened a space of expression for these participants, in order to connect them to their social environment and highlight their artistic talents, specifying that a preliminary selection was carried out before they benefited from training and supervision by teachers specialized in plastic arts, to guide and accompany them in the realization of their works.

For his part, Nabil Chouicho, a professor of artistic education at the Ibn Sina Middle School in the commune of Moulay Abdallah, emphasized that this cultural event constitutes an opportunity to highlight the talents of the participants and strengthen their capacities in the field of plastic arts.

He also emphasized that the forum aims to encourage the openness of these young artists to their environment, by offering them the opportunity to participate in this collective exhibition to acquire experience, skills, and continue their learning by immersing themselves in other artistic practices.

For their part, several young artists expressed their joy at participating in this event dedicated to Moroccan heritage and identity, emphasizing that such events offer them the opportunity to continue their research and training, as well as to open up to other artistic experiences.

Moroccan heritage and identity are at the centre of the first edition of the School Forum for Plastic Arts, which kicked off on Friday at the Abdelhak Kadiri Cultural Centre in El Jadida.
