Conference in Berrechid on Moroccan genius in the Arabic language under the Alaouite dynasty
"The genius of Moroccans in the Arabic language under the Alaouite dynasty" was the theme of a national conference organized in Berrechid, at the initiative of the "Noubough" Academy for heritage, cultures, arts, and social works.

This event, organized Saturday in coordination with the local Council of Oulemas of Berrechid, brought together scholars, theologians, students, and researchers in the Arabic language, both Moroccan and foreign. It coincides with the commemoration of the anniversary of the presentation of the Independence Manifesto and the celebration of World Arabic Language Day.

The participants in this conference highlighted the genius of Moroccan figures of the Arabic language, emphasizing their achievements and breakthroughs, and their essential role in the preservation of this language. They also discussed the contributions of African scholars under the reign of the Alaouite dynasty, as well as the impact of Royal initiatives in favor of the Arabic language.

In his opening remarks, the director of the "Noubough" Academy for heritage, cultures, arts, and social works of Berrechid, El Mehdi El Brichi, highlighted the constant commitment of the Academy to organize this meeting, emphasizing the crucial importance of preserving the Arabic language, due to "its fundamental role in the preservation of the unique Moroccan identity and its essential function in the understanding and meditation of the meanings of the Holy Quran".

He continued that the organization of this meeting carries a strong symbolic charge. It embodies "the profound significance of this date (11 January), associated with a precious memory for Morocco, a country of science, knowledge, and education, and land of the Quran, inseparable from the Arabic language, both in word and meaning".

For his part, the president of the local Council of Oulemas of Berrechid, Abdelmoughit Bassir, emphasized the importance of organizing this conference, which celebrates World Arabic Language Day while commemorating the anniversary of the presentation of the Independence Manifesto, highlighting the symbolic scope of the two events, which remind young people and current generations of the sacrifices of their ancestors.

For him, explaining to young people their duty towards the Arabic language constitutes a responsibility that falls to scientists, teachers, and Moroccan advisors, noting that Morocco, through its early commitment, excellence, and constant attention to the Arabic language, offers a model to follow, making this language an asset of which the country can legitimately be proud.

For his part, the director of the Hassania Library in Rabat, Ahmed Chaouki Binebine, recalled the fundamental role of scholars at the beginning of the Islamic era, who undertook journeys to collect dictionaries, letters, and studies, with the aim of promoting this language.

During the conference, works in the Arabic language created by the pioneers of the "Noubough" Academy were presented. Prizes were also awarded to the winners of literary creation competitions in honor of the Commander of the Faithful, and distinctions were presented to actors who contributed to the promotion of the Arabic language in the province of Berrechid.
