Hespress has learned from informed sources that the Court of First Instance in Berrechid has postponed the consideration of a payment dispute file against a Caid and head of an administrative annex working within the territorial jurisdiction of one of the communes belonging to the Berrechid province, explaining that the person concerned had rented a car from a private car rental company without a driver last summer, but he did not pay the rental fee due, leading the company to file a lawsuit against him before the judiciary.
The same sources stated that the lawyer for the car rental company, based in Berrechid, registered the lawsuit with the Court of First Instance in the city on August 8th, before the file witnessed a long number of postponement sessions, the last of which was yesterday, explaining that the authority official with the rank of Caid refused to pay the sums of money owed for the period he rented the car, despite attempts to convince him amicably by representatives of the complaining company to settle the situation away from legal and judicial channels.
The newspaper's sources confirmed that the Internal Affairs Department at the Berrechid provincial prefecture submitted a report on the judicial dispute pending before the judiciary between the Caid and the car rental company to the central services of the Ministry of Interior, explaining that the instructions of Abdelouafi Laftit, Minister of Interior, are clear regarding the moralisation of the exercise of authority by territorial administration officials, and adherence to the law and regulations in force, on a personal and professional level.
