Assilah: About 400 beneficiaries of a medical-surgical caravan

Some 400 people benefited from a medical caravan specialising in orthopaedics and general surgery, organised this weekend at the initiative of the Assilah Forum Foundation.

During this two-day medical caravan, organised in partnership with the International Clinic of Tangier, the Assilah commune, and civil society actors, a medical staff, composed of four surgeons specialising in orthopaedics and general surgery and a team of nurses, provided the necessary consultations and examinations to the beneficiaries.

Among the health services provided were initial medical examinations, ultrasound and radiological examinations, and the initial diagnosis of diseases, in addition to the distribution of necessary medicines to patients.

It should be recalled that the Assilah Forum Foundation organised last June, in partnership with the International Clinic of Tangier and the Assilah commune, a medical caravan specialising in cardiovascular surgery, which benefited more than 300 inhabitants of the city.

The Assilah Forum Foundation, a non-governmental organisation of public utility, organises similar caravans as part of its social activities, which include the provision of medical care, medicines, and scholarships, in addition to collective circumcision operations and food aid, among others.

The Foundation also includes among its activities training organised at Dar Sabah of solidarity, particularly for the benefit of autistic children, in addition to literacy, sewing and embroidery, language, and computer courses.
