Meknès: Opening of the activities of the fourth edition of the Regional Exhibition for Social and Solidarity Economy products

Meknès: Opening of the activities of the fourth edition of the Regional Exhibition for Social and Solidarity Economy products

This event, organised under the theme "Social and Solidarity Economy is a fruit-bearing tree that grows from different hands", until 7 February, aims to promote the products and expertise of actors in the social and solidarity economy in the Fès-Meknès region.

This edition is organised under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, by the Fès-Meknès Regional Council, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism, Traditional Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, the Secretariat of State in charge of Traditional Crafts and Social and Solidarity Economy, and the Wilaya of the Fès-Meknès region, in cooperation with the Meknès Prefecture.

This event is held in implementation of the provisions of Organic Law No. 111.14 relating to regional councils, and in implementation of the region's own competencies as included in the 2022-2027 Regional Development Programme.

According to the organisers, this exhibition aims to consolidate the accumulation achieved by the three previous editions, and to highlight the new dynamic associated with the development of products in this sector in the Fès-Meknès region, and the noble solidarity and humanitarian goals it has achieved.

The 2025 edition of this event also aims to strengthen the production and marketing capacities of those working in the sector, particularly by helping cooperatives to access the health safety certification system (ONSSA).

This exhibition will be held on an area of 5,000 square metres, including halls for exhibition, seminars, training, and entertainment, and consists of several hubs, the most important of which is the exhibitors' hub, which includes 160 stands with the participation of 320 exhibitors, representing various prefectures and provinces belonging to the region, as well as exhibitors belonging to some regions of the Kingdom.

It also concerns the international hub, which is distinguished by the participation of regions from foreign and Arab countries that have cooperation relations with the Fès-Meknès region, namely China, France, Bahrain, and Jordan.

Recalling the African depth, the exhibition sees the participation of Senegal, with the presence of governmental and non-governmental organisations supporting the marketing and promotion of social and solidarity economy products.

For its part, the financial and institutional support hub provides opportunities to exchange experiences and expertise for institutions working in the field of financial and technical support, for the benefit of social and solidarity economy organisations, and to provide them with support and accompaniment at the regional and national levels.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was marked by the organisation of the Caftan show in its second edition (Caftan FES-MEKNES), which made it possible to highlight the skills and creations of the hands of craftswomen and exhibitors of the Fès-Meknès region, which contributed to providing a cultural and artistic touch to the event.

The activities of the fourth edition of the Regional Exhibition for Social and Solidarity Economy products opened on Friday at Bab El Qazdir Square in Meknès.
