Casablanca – The National Airports Office (ONDA) continues the deployment of its “Airports 2030” strategy with the transformation of the exterior zones and entrances of Marrakech-Menara and Agadir-Al Massira airports.
The new facilities now offer passengers a more fluid, intuitive, and pleasant reception environment thanks to a redesign of circulation zones and drop-off areas, modernised signage to quickly guide travellers, and direct access to terminals according to airlines, the Office indicates in a press release.
Reception areas have thus been completely rethought to streamline arrivals and departures, improve service quality, and meet the expectations of travellers and those accompanying them, the same source notes, recalling that every year, millions of tourists enter Morocco by air, and a large portion transits through the airports of Marrakech and Agadir, which play a central role in national tourism influence.
It emphasises: “All these measures were made possible thanks to the concerted mobilisation between the Ministry of the Interior, the Directorate of Immigration and Border Surveillance, the DGSN, the Royal Gendarmerie, Customs, the Wilaya of Marrakech, the Wilaya of Agadir, and finally ONDA”.
By facilitating the first and last moments of the airport experience, these improvements mark a new step in ONDA's commitment to “smarter”, more connected airports focused on traveller expectations.
These transformations are part of the “Airports 2030” strategy, which aims to raise Moroccan airports to the best international standards, the press release concludes.
