Casablanca – The Moroccan Airports Authority continues to implement the “Airports 2030″ strategy, by developing the spaces and external entrances of the Marrakech-Menara and Agadir-Al Massira airports.
The Authority explained, in a statement, that these new developments allow for a smoother, clearer, and more comfortable reception for passengers, thanks to the redesign of traffic and quick-stop zones, the adoption of modern signage to guide passengers quickly, in addition to providing direct access to terminals according to airlines.
It highlighted that the reception areas have been completely reimagined with the aim of facilitating arrival and departure operations, improving the quality of services, and meeting the expectations of passengers and their companions alike, noting that the Marrakech and Agadir airports receive millions of tourists annually arriving in Morocco by air, and constitute two main gateways to the most important tourist destinations in the Kingdom, as they play a pivotal role in the radiance of national tourism.
The same source added that “these measures were implemented thanks to the joint mobilization between the Ministry of Interior, the Directorate of Migration and Border Surveillance, the General Directorate of National Security, the Royal Gendarmerie, the Customs Administration, the Wilayas of the Marrakech and Agadir regions, as well as the Moroccan Airports Authority”.
By facilitating the first and last moments of the travel experience, these developments inaugurate a new phase in the commitment of the Moroccan Airports Authority for “smarter, more connected airports that are more responsive to passenger expectations”.
The statement concluded that these transformations fall within the framework of the “Airports 2030″ strategy, which aims to raise the level of Moroccan airports to the best international standards.
