Thus, during this session chaired by the First Vice-President of the Provincial Council, Mohamed Mahboub, the Council approved a draft agreement between the Council, the Regional Coordination of National Mutual Aid of Fez-Meknes, and the "Siraj Association for Social Works of Fez", to allocate a financial sum to the association estimated at approximately 900,000 dirhams, distributed over three years.
It also approved a draft amendment to the partnership agreement with the "Al-Namaa Association for Self-Employment", which had previously benefited from the second phase of the "Temporary Public Works" program, and a draft amendment to a partnership and cooperation agreement between the Provincial Council, the Provincial Delegation of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection in Fez, and the "Public Health Support Association" to finance the purchase of medical equipment for the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital, in which the Council commits to paying a sum of 480,000 dirhams for the acquisition of this equipment.
The Council also approved two draft partnership agreements with the Hassan II University Hospital in Fez, the "Contribution Association for Thoracic Surgery Patients", and the "Association for a Healthy Child", to finance the purchase of medical equipment, with the Council committing to allocate 723,000 dirhams to the first association and 863,000 dirhams to the second.
Approval was also granted for a draft partnership agreement between the Council and the "Challenge Association for Culture and Sports" aimed at rehabilitating cemeteries located within the Fez prefecture, with the Council committing to allocate a sum of 1.2 million dirhams distributed over three years.
The Council also approved a draft amendment to a partnership agreement between the Provincial Council, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication - Culture Sector of the Fez-Meknes region, and the "Fez Festival of Sufi Culture Association" to support the festival by allocating an annual sum of 500,000 dirhams for three years.
The session's agenda also included the study and approval of a draft amendment to a partnership agreement between the Provincial Council and the Al-Omrane Fez-Meknes company, for the completion of studies and development works on the road section linking the sports complex towards the "Ain Beida" commune over a length of 1.6 km, and the development of the green space at the entrance passing through the "Palm" road junction.
It also included an item related to the cancellation of appropriations transferred to the Fez Provincial Council account for the completion of the study concerning the master plan for the management of non-hazardous industrial, medical, pharmaceutical, final, agricultural, and inert waste in the former Fez-Boulemane region, and another item concerning the reprogramming of appropriations transferred to the Council's account for the completion of the same study.
The agenda also included the study and approval of the draft development program for the Fez prefecture for the 2022-2027 period, and a presentation by the Regional Coordination of National Mutual Aid in the Fez-Meknes region on the "status of the National Mutual Aid sector in Fez".
The President of the Fez Provincial Council highlighted in his report that the Council commissioned a consulting firm to prepare the development program, a process that spanned several months.
He noted that all stages of the program's preparation were completed in accordance with the guidelines for program preparation, with copies of the program provided to the Council's committees and the Equality, Equal Opportunity, and Gender Approach body.
