The 5th national meeting of Andalusian music lovers recently highlighted, in Fez, the different characteristics of authentic Moroccan heritage.
The closing ceremony of this artistic and cultural event, organised by the Association for the Renaissance of Andalusian Music of Fez and the Fès-Saiss Association under the theme “Media at the service of heritage: Al Ala music as an example”, was marked by the organisation of a musical concert performed by the Mohamed El Arabi orchestra, based in Tangier and directed by the artist Mohamed Laâroussi.
The ceremony was also marked by a tribute to the artist Haj Mohamed Zaki, considered one of the great figures of Andalusian music in Rabat, in recognition of his contributions in this field. The programme of the event included a master class on the theme “The importance and role of the media in the dissemination of Moroccan heritage, Al Ala music as an example”, with the participation of several researchers.
