The 7th edition of the Halal Morocco Forum, 19 June in Casablanca under the sign of international integration

The 7th edition of the Halal Morocco Forum, 19 June in Casablanca under the sign of international integration
The Moroccan Institute for Standardisation (IMANOR) is organising the 7th edition of the Halal Morocco Forum (FOHAM) on Thursday, 19 June 2025, in Casablanca, placed under the dual aegis of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests.
The 7th edition of the Halal Morocco Forum, 19 June in Casablanca under the sign of international integration
This event, organised in collaboration with several institutional and professional partners, will focus this year on the theme: "National Halal ecosystem: a lever for growth and international integration".

The forum will bring together more than 150 participants from Morocco and abroad for conferences and a panel dedicated to two major axes: the dynamics of the global Halal market and the conditions for accessing this market, as well as the structuring of a national Halal ecosystem serving the Kingdom's export ambitions. The event thus aims to strengthen the integration of Moroccan companies into Halal value chains on an international scale.

Testimonials will enrich the discussions, notably those of foreign actors specialised in Halal certification, as well as Moroccan companies that have obtained the Halal Morocco Label (LHM). The latter already benefits from official recognition in key countries of the global Halal market such as Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, or Singapore, and steps are underway to extend this recognition to other jurisdictions.

FOHAM 2025 is also intended as a platform for exchange and strategic reflection. A special session will be devoted to the credibility of Halal certification and the ethical principles governing this activity. About twenty international certifiers will take part in these discussions, which should lead to the adoption of a common code of ethics in the field of Halal certification.

Today, about 300 Moroccan companies, covering more than 1000 product references in various sectors — agri-food, cosmetics, food supplements, packaging, catering — benefit from the Halal Morocco Label, mainly oriented towards export.

It should be noted that the forum will also be an opportunity to officially present Halal certificates to new labelled companies, highlighting the growing dynamic of this sector.

Through this initiative, IMANOR reaffirms its desire to position Morocco as a major regional player in the Halal field, by capitalising on the national productive potential and by federating efforts to build a coherent, competitive ecosystem turned towards the international stage.
