After an acclaimed first chapter, the Nostalgia Lovers Festival is back to turn up the sound and the atmosphere in Casablanca. From 3 to 6 July 2025, the famous Go Vélodrome will be transformed into a life-size retro stage, between musical flashbacks and an intergenerational party. It was during a highly anticipated press conference that Othman Benabdeljelil, spokesperson for the festival, revealed the main lines of this second edition, which promises to be even more immersive. A true tribute to the music and culture of past decades, the Nostalgia Lovers Festival managed to win over a wide audience from its first edition thanks to a programme rich in memories and nods to cherished eras. Today, it stands as an unmissable event in the Moroccan cultural calendar.
Driven by Othman Benabdeljelil's passion for pop culture, and orchestrated by Public Events, a key player in cultural events since 2002, the festival brings generations together around a shared musical heritage. Timeless hits, unforgettable icons, and collective energy will be at the heart of this unique celebration.
On the programme, fiery live concerts, captivating performances, vintage entertainment, and unprecedented sensory experiences. More than forty performances will bring together unforgettable icons of the 80s, 90s, and 2000s. Thomas Anders of Modern Talking, Lou Bega with his unforgettable “Mambo No.5”, and Montell Jordan, R&B legend, will revive an era when music beat to the rhythm of emotions. Nostalgic fans of legendary hits will find their precious memories while the younger ones will be able to discover these treasures from an era when dance was above all a celebration of life. For three intense days, music will transcend generations and each performance will invite a journey through the decades.
In a statement to the newspaper “L’Opinion”, Othman Benabdeljelil, festival organiser, shared the major new features of this edition: “This year, the festival will span four days instead of three. We will also have a much more imposing stage, double the size of last year's. The artistic programme will be more varied and, for the first time, we will organise a brunch on Sunday”.
Concerned about orienting the festival towards a nostalgia more imbued with Moroccan and oriental cultures, he revealed a project in preparation: “NostalgiaHabibi is an idea still in gestation. We are thinking about a Moroccan and Arab programme, and we hope that this project will be able to see the light of day very soon”, he confided.
