Casablanca: Signing of a partnership for the creation of a new technology hub in Sidi Othmane
The Casablanca commune and the Caisse de Dépôt et de Gestion (CDG) Group recently signed a partnership agreement in Casablanca for the creation and official launch of "Casablanca Tech Valley," a new technology hub in Sidi Othmane.

Initialed by the President of the Casablanca commune, Nabila Rmili, and the Director General of the CDG, Khalid Safir, under the aegis of the Wali of the Casablanca-Settat region, Mohamed Mhidia, this partnership agreement constitutes a strategic step towards balanced urban development and reinforced territorial attractiveness, indicates a statement from the commune.

This project, which will be carried out by the company Ewane, a subsidiary of the CDG group, is intended to be a direct extension of the "Casa Nearshore" zone, adds the same source.

According to the statement, "Casablanca Tech Valley" embodies an ambitious vision for a competitive city capable of attracting investments while creating high value-added jobs, thus consolidating Casablanca's position as an African technology hub of excellence, reports the MAP.

Thus, this project also represents a lever for spatial justice and urban transformation, thanks to an integrated approach combining innovation, social inclusion, and territorial attractiveness.

Included among the new structuring projects of the Moulay Rachid prefecture, Sidi Othmane district, this project aims to support inclusive and sustainable economic growth, by anticipating the growing pressure on existing economic activity zones and by meeting the requirements of modern urban planning and environmental standards.

The creation of this technology hub should contribute to rebalancing territorial dynamics within the city, while enhancing the local assets of Sidi Othmane.
Furthermore, it will allow for the creation of a diversified economic fabric, generating more than 20,000 direct jobs, and expanding the development base to different areas of the economic capital.

The signing ceremony took place in the presence of the Governor of the Moulay Rachid prefecture, Jamal Mokhtatar, the Second Vice-President of the Casablanca commune, in charge of heritage, Houssine Nasrallah, and the Director General of the company Ewane, Mehdi El Kabbaj.
