Casablanca Stock Exchange: Summary of the session of Monday, April 21

The Casablanca Stock Exchange ended Monday's session on a slightly positive note. The MASI index recorded an increase of 0.15%, closing at 17,268.91 points. A moderate performance that nevertheless masks strong sectoral contrasts and notable movements among individual stocks.
The pharmaceutical industry sector stood out as the main driver of the session, with an increase of +2.81%, while the insurance segment experienced the strongest sectoral decline, falling by -1.26%.
In terms of trading, the market showed relatively sustained activity, with a volume exceeding 171 million dirhams. The total market capitalisation, for its part, crossed the 900.68 billion dirham mark, confirming the solidity of the Casablanca market despite cyclical uncertainties.
