The national security services in the city of Casablanca, under instructions from the competent public prosecutor's office, carried out, yesterday evening, Monday, April 14, the procedures for placing a person showing signs of mental disorder in a mental and psychiatric hospital, for threatening public security and endangering the safety of people and property.
The security services in the city of Casablanca had arrested the suspect after he subjected four passers-by to physical assault using a blunt object, which caused them injuries that required their transfer to the hospital to receive the necessary treatment. He also caused material damage to three private cars that were parked on the public street.
The immediate intervention of the police elements made it possible to apprehend the individual concerned, whose initial examinations revealed that he was in an abnormal state and a state of acute agitation, which required his placement in a mental and psychiatric hospital by order of the public prosecutor's office, to be subjected to a medical examination to verify his mental and psychological state.
