Airbus Atlantic announced on Monday the integration of the Saint-Nazaire and Casablanca sites of Spirit AeroSystems into its industrial system, as part of the agreement concluded between Airbus and Spirit AeroSystems.
This acquisition aims to secure the activities concerned in the long term, in a context of strong production ramp-up, indicates an Airbus Atlantic press release.
In this context, Airbus Atlantic, a global industrial leader in the field of aerostructures, has been entrusted with taking over the operations of the Saint-Nazaire site, responsible for the assembly of sections of the A350 section 15, and the Casablanca site, responsible for the production of A220 wing leading edges and ventral beams, as well as A321 flap track beams.
The effective integration of these two sites into the Airbus Atlantic industrial system will take place in the second half of 2025, at the end of a preparatory period intended to guarantee the continuity of operations, reports MAP.
The Saint-Nazaire site, which currently employs approximately 135 people, is located in the Cadréan business park in Montoir-de-Bretagne in Loire-Atlantique. It will take the name Airbus Atlantic Cadréan.
The Casablanca site, for its part, is located in the Midparc free zone, in Nouaceur near Casablanca. It employs approximately 250 people and will take the name Airbus Atlantic Maroc Aero.
