This church, which name means "the purest" in Spanish, is the only one that exists inside a medina in the entire Kingdom of Morocco. Built in Siaghin Street, in the Roman Decumanus, by the Catholic inhabitants of the old city and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. It is a building that is remarkable for its bronze dome and its facade of overlapping lobed arches. Once the residence of the Franciscans of the Spanish Catholic Mission, it has been for decades the home of a convent of the Sisters of Mother Teresa, and is situated on the corner of the street of the synagogues, as a proof of the religious syncretism of Tangier.
